The very first competition heralding the arrival of Gods and Warriors has officially started! The Wisdom Contest is now open to all Clanners and non-Clanners – so whether you’re a newcomer to the site or a veteran of The Clan, why not pit your wits and wisdom against others in a test of your knowledge of the first four chapters of Gods and Warriors? We loved your entries to the Virtual Museum so much that we wanted to create another exhibit. What’s different is a more specific theme — and we want you to work in teams this time!

We’d like you to imagine how a communal meal would have been put together, from hunting animals and gathering nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables, to utensils and even how seating could have been arranged (who sits next to whom and where?). People in the Stone Age were hunter-gatherers, and having a strong community would have been vital to their survival. The family that eats together, stays together, in other words.

We’re kicking off a new competition this month — everyone had such fun with the Scavenger Hunt that we thought, Why don’t we have one more often? Well, it’s pretty tiring coming up with loads of cryptic clues all year round, so here’s a new, and simpler challenge.

Every month, Andrea will hide this image (right) somewhere on The Clan, and the first Clanner to send her a PM with the correct location will win five (5) Nanuaks. The winner will be announced in updated versions of this post.

Where should you look, you ask? The Clan is huge! Well, this paw print could be found in any content that has been created in the past month — that’s a forum thread, blog post, or any other content on the site. So the first image will be hidden in content that was created between 16 July 2011 and 15 August 2011.

The image won’t always be this size — it will usually be smaller, because we’re trying to sneak it past you!

August 2011 — the healer

The Clan Scavenger Hunt pitted the skill of the Clan against the wiliness of the Guardians! Images were hidden all over the site, and the first to find them all by following a series of clues, won a limited edition Chronicles of Ancient Darkness poster, signed by Michelle.

Clanners were challenged to come up with designs for the resurrected Clashing Clans system, where we split active Clanners into four Clan groups: Deep Forest, Far North, Open Forest, and Sea. We had many very inventive and attractive entries, and here is the list of winners.
